PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ♦ Difficult MONGOLIA IBEX AND ARGALIS The Altai Mountains of northwestern Mongolia – close to the borders with Russia and China – contain large populations of Altai ibex. The Gobi desert of western and central Mongolia is home to good numbers of Gobi ibex. Ibex hunting in these two locations is as good as it gets anywhere. These majestic animals inhabit some awesome and truly wild country, providing a challenge to even the most seasoned of alpine hunters. The quality and quantity of game have kept success rates close to 100% for these hunts, with the Altai ibex averaging in the 40" to 44" range and trophies in the mid-forties being taken on a regular basis. Ibex of the Gobi deserts are slightly smaller, but present every bit as much of a challenge. The quality of outfitting is quite good, with comfortable ger camps and good food. DATES: Aug.-Dec. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ♦♦ Extreme MID-ASIAN IBEX IN KYRGYZSTAN Possibly the best mountain hunting experience to be had for the money, mid- Asian ibex in Kyrgyzstan is a true adventure for a great price. You will hunt the rugged and beautiful mountains of Central Asia where ibex populations are high, and trophy quality is the best in the world. These are the largest ibex in the world with stout bodies and horns ranging from 40"-50"+. Accommo- dation is in comfortable base camps, with good cooking, but hunters should be ready to move and fly camp when necessary. Horses are used extensively to cover the rugged landscape, and hunters need to be in good physical con- dition. Hunting elevations will be from 9000-13,500 ft., but the horses cover most of the ground. This truly is a hunt not to be missed for mountain enthusi- asts, and Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful, safe and friendly country. BEZOAR IBEX IN TURKEY The Bezoar ibex is considered by many the most beautiful of all the ibex. It has the largest horn to body size proportion of any animal on earth. This hunt is conducted in one of the top trophy regions in Turkey. These hunts are first class all the way with experienced guides, great equipment, ac- commodations and food. They are virtually 100% every year. You may also add on a hunt for giant wild boar while there. Turkey produces some of the world’s largest truly wild boar, and it is not uncommon to shoot boars over 500 pounds.
